Shipping and Returns
The following Shipping and Returns policy applies to direct purchases only.
Products are shipped within one to two business days through a carrier nominated by us; we regularly make use of the following carriers: Fastway Couriers, Direct Freight and Australian Post. MyFan makes every effort to keep you up-to-date on the progress of your order and will provide regular communication via e-mail to notify you of your product(s) status.
Shipping costs for all products offered by MyFan are covered by a standard $20.00 shipping and handling fee; orders that are in excess of $200.00 (excl. GST) are shipped for free. In the event that an item you purchased is not available, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss alternatives or provide a full refund.
MyFan provides a number of different return policies; please read each carefully so that you can correctly identify the applicable policy for your situation. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions or concerns.
The following section outlines the process for returning a product; this procedure applies to the various Return Policies outlined below. In the event that you wish to return an item, it is critical that you contact us as soon as possible as we may require you to perform certain steps before attempting to return the item(s). Our customer service team will walk you through the steps necessary to return the item(s). Please do not attempt to simply ship the items back to us as we will not accept any unauthorised return.
MyFan makes the majority of its sales based on referrals and repeat custom from satisfied customers. For this reason, it is essential that our customer's are completely satisfied with their purchases. To this end, MyFan offers a 30 day return policy - no questions asked. The thirty (30) day period begins on the day the item(s) are shipped from our warehouse.
In the event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, the item(s) must be returned in their original packaging in a saleable condition. Damage to the item(s) may incur additional charges or refusal of the return. Items returned that were shipped with the free shipping offer will incur the actual delivery costs of sending and returning the item. The amount refunded will be the cost of the item(s) less delivery costs.
In the event that the wrong item(s) are shipped to you, or you believe the item has been incorrectly represented by us, we will endeavour to provide a replacement where possible, or a refund if necessary. Incorrectly sent items must be reported to us within seven (7) days of delivery. The incorrect item(s) must be returned in their original packaging in a saleable condition.
MyFan will cover the costs involved in returning and replacing the incorrect items. As part of the return process for incorrect items, you will be required to forward a copy of the "Order Confirmation" email sent to your nominated email address on the date of purchase.
Defective or damaged items
MyFan provides support for certain defects and damages to items within the first twelve (12) months. Before attempting to return a defective or damaged item, please contact customer service so that we can attempt to ascertain the likely cause of the damage. Defective items are usually a manufacturer error and will be replaced by us at no cost to you. We will arrange to have the item picked up and cover the relevant costs; the item must be returned in its original packaging.
In the event that the item arrives in a damaged state please contact us immediately before opening the package. In some cases, the actual item may be free of damage despite slight damage to the packaging. Please always keep the original packaging of the item(s) in case of concealed damage to the item. Where possible, we may request that you take photographs of the item(s) in question as this will greatly assist us in evaluating the issue. Products that are damaged due to misuse or improper installation are not covered by this returns policy.
